Hamburg Production Awards Salute 'Red Balloon' Film and Neue Bioskop Producers
Dorothe Beinemeier of Red Balloon Film won the €25,000 Hamburg production award for international cinema co-productions at the 10th Hamburg Production Awards on September 30. Beinemeier co-produced Scandar Copti’s Happy Holidays, praised for its empathetic portrayal of characters trapped in their circumstances. The film also won Best Screenplay in Venice’s Horizons section. Beinemeier’s other co-producer credits include The Empire by Bruno Dumont and Ameer Fakher Eldin’s Yunan. Read More.
